The FAA is a hidden gem. Small classes and close attention to the children. Our kids are super excited to go to school every morning. This school has a great bilingual curriculum and a special mathematics curriculum. The FAA puts a great emphasis on math as well as arts and music.

Our 3 children attend the French American Academy and it is truly a gem in the community. As a bilingual and bicultural school, it offers a unique educational experience that prepares students to be global citizens in our increasingly interconnected world. The school's commitment to academic excellence, cultural immersion, and personalized attention to each student's needs and strengths is truly impressive. Overall, the school is a great institution that provides an exceptional education and a truly enriching experience for students and families alike.

My son is extremely shy and I was afraid that he may be left behind in a public school. I made the right choice by choosing the FAA. My son feels comfortable in the small size classrooms and is learning at a tremendous pace. He now speaks English, French and Spanish fluently and have forged great friendships with his classmates. I am so happy with the school and thankful for all the wonders they have accomplished with my son!!!

Small class size and very attentive teachers. The school operates like a small community. The school is sensitive and very responsive to child allergies and that is very important to me. My son started the school at age 2 already fully understanding French, however, he did not speak it back. Being fully immersed in this environment has gotten him to a place where he is comfortable speaking the language and at 3 he is actually speaking both English and French, knows who to speak which language to and can even translate for me (non-French speaker). The school also keeps up with technology, there's an app where the teachers post often and there's a communication weekly letting us parents know what the focus is for the week. I'm very pleased with the school.

Can my child enroll in the school without speaking French?

Yes, we do accept students who do not speak French. In fact, over 45% of our current students at FAA do not speak French at home.

Will my child be also learning the American curriculum at the FAA?

Our accreditation from the Middle States Association and the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools ensures that our curriculum aligns with both US Common Core standards, on top of the rigorous French education standards.

My child speaks already 2 languages, will learning a 3rd language overwhelm my child?

Children have a natural ability to learn languages and are able to pick up new languages more easily than adults. So, if your child is already proficient in two languages, learning a third language may come more naturally to them.

Does the school offer financial aid?
