1. What inspired you to become a teacher, and what do you love most about teaching?
What inspired me to become a teacher was my 3rd-grade teacher, who was always a role model for me. I had always dreamed of becoming a teacher, but after finishing high school, I leaned more toward business school or medical studies. However, destiny caught up with me, and I eventually followed the path to teaching.
What I love most about my job is sharing knowledge with children while supporting their personal development. That moment when a student finally understands something they were struggling with before is truly precious.
I genuinely believe that shaping the citizens of tomorrow is my mission! And one of my dreams is to see my students again when I’m retired… I’m sure the FAA will organize reunion nights for former students and teachers, but I’ve still got plenty of time before that!
2. What’s your favorite project or activity you’ve done with students?
I have so many activities and projects in mind, but my current favorite is a mini-theater play that my PK2 students will perform in front of their parents during the Parents Breakfast. It’s amazing to see them grow in confidence, take on roles, and have fun while learning to express themselves. It’s such a special experience, and we’d be delighted to invite you to witness this magical moment!
3. How do you encourage early language development in your classroom?
I encourage language development from an early age by creating interactive learning situations where children can express themselves freely. We do lots of word games, nursery rhymes, and read-aloud sessions. I also love to spark their imagination by asking them to tell stories based on pictures or objects, which helps build their vocabulary and fluency.
4. If you could describe your teaching style in three words, what would they be?
Creative, caring, and playful. I believe learning should be a joyful and motivating experience for students.
5. What’s one thing your students do that always makes you smile?
What always makes me smile is seeing my students walk into the classroom each morning with big smiles and contagious good vibes, giving hugs to me or to their friends. It’s so heartwarming!
6. What’s a fun fact that most people don’t know about you?
I was born in a car, between the hospital and the hotel! The craziest part is that my mom was on vacation, and I wasn’t supposed to be born that early!
7. If you weren’t a teacher, what do you think you’d be doing?
If I weren’t a teacher… who knows? Maybe I would’ve become a sports doctor, a professional trail runner (something between sports and adventure!), or even a painter. I have so many creative ideas buzzing around in my head, but luckily, I’m a teacher—it allows me to combine everything I love: teaching, creativity, and a little bit of craziness!
