Head of School

Welcome to the French American Academy! 

I am Anne-Sophie Gueguen, the founder and head of school. As a French parent living in the United States for many years, I understand the importance of combining the best of both educational worlds to provide a well-rounded education for our children.

The birth of my fourth child, Maya, was the inspiration behind the founding of this school. I wanted to create a place where students could benefit from the rich cultural and educational experiences of both the French and American systems, and develop into confident, globally minded thinkers and leaders.

At the French American Academy, our personal and school values are deeply rooted in our mission to provide a bilingual and multicultural education that fosters academic excellence, critical thinking, and creativity. Our core values of respect, integrity, responsibility, and kindness guide us in our daily interactions with students, parents, and staff.

Our long-term ambitions for the school are to continue to provide a high-quality, bilingual education that prepares our students for the global world of tomorrow. We strive to be a model for innovative teaching practices and to cultivate a diverse, inclusive community that celebrates our differences.
