Christine Peralta
2nd Grade – French

ENGLEWOOD, NJ

Originally from a small village near Carcassonne in the south of France, I pursued studies in STAPS (sports science) in Toulouse before earning my teaching certification. My first year of teaching, at the Medico-Educational Institute in Perpignan, allowed me to work with children with special educational needs (SEGPA, ZEP). I then taught 1st and 2nd grade in Salses-le-Château for two years.

Driven by curiosity and a passion for travel, I moved to Cambodia, where I taught for five years at Lycée Français René Descartes in Phnom Penh, mainly in 3rd grade and 3rd grade bilingual, which included creating a bilingual 4th-grade class. My journey continued at the International French School of Singapore, where I spent ten years teaching 4th grade, 4th grade bilingual, and 1st grade. Last year, we decided to explore the Middle East, and I taught a 2nd-grade class at Lycée Français Bonaparte in Doha, Qatar.

I am passionate about sports (dance, athletics, rollerblading, etc.), I also enjoy hiking and exploring new countries.

Now, I have the opportunity to join the FAA, an experience I’m excited to begin. With 20 years of experience in education, my goal is to provide students with a high-quality education and a broad worldview, grounded in kindness and respect through the lessons I teach.
