Behind the Scenes at the FAA
The French American Academy Sculpture Installation at Liberty State Park 🌊🌿
Proud moment for the 3rd graders at the French American Academy!
This week, they took their student-made sea life sculptures—built entirely from recycled plastic—to Liberty State Park, where they’re now on public display!
The project is part of our year-long theme on Water and started with a deep dive into ocean pollution and sustainability.
Students used plastic waste, wire, and papier-mâché to bring awareness to the alarming levels of plastic in our oceans.
Thank you @libertystateparkofficial for welcoming our students and helping us bring this message to the community!

"Dolphins Splash into Chicago! 🐬🏀
Our FAA Dolphins basketball team dove into the AEFE basketball tournament in Chicago last week, competing against 26 other teams from 17 schools!
Our students had an unforgettable experience watching a live Chicago Bulls game! 🏀🔥
Our coaches, Florent and Chloe, brought their A-game with pre-match video analysis to get our team ready! 📹👊 And, who can forget the thrilling three-point shoot contest and coach match? 🎯👏
When they weren`t on the court, our team enjoyed the city`s sights and sounds as well as the Marriott hotel swimming pool, making memories that will last a lifetime 🌆📚.
The Wintrust Sports Complex was the perfect venue for this action-packed event 🏟️.
We may not have taken the trophy, but we won in spirit and fun! 🏆💪
Proud of our FAA Dolphins for an amazing tournament and an even better adventure in Chicago! 🐬❤️
Can`t wait for next year and stay tuned for a video of their adventures!

This past Saturday, we hosted our First Annual French-American Holiday Market on our Englewood Campus, and it was everything you’d want from a holiday market — lively, heartwarming, and filled with the spirit of the season.
We were delighted with the incredible turnout as families, friends, and new faces came together to experience a little taste of France right here in New Jersey. Our Englewood campus came alive with live performances from BergenPAC, Cisco the magician, and our very own 8th-grade student singer, Chloe! The aroma of fresh French pastries and traditional French foods added to the atmosphere, alongside the charm of local artisan vendors who showcased unique crafts and holiday gifts. Together, they created a holiday market that felt like a festive celebration of community, French-American culture, and holiday cheer.
For the kids, it was non-stop fun. They bounced between ornament-making, clay sculpting, knitting, baking, slime-making, face painting, and the popular bouncy castle and soccer challenge.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and made it a day to remember!

We were honored to welcome Cédrik Fouriscot, the newly appointed Consul General of France in New York, to our new campus in Jersey City Heights, where our new High School will be located. The Consul General also visited our Downtown Jersey City campus, where he had the opportunity to converse with our middle school students, sharing valuable insights into the role of a diplomat and thoughtfully addressing their questions about international relations.
In addition to the visit from the French Consul General, we were also honored to welcome Kevin J Ruth, Executive Director of the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools (NJAIS). We’re thankful for Mr. Ruth’s visit and NJIS’s continued support of independent schools across New Jersey.
We are excited about the vision for our new high school, which will offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, making it the only IB candidate high school in Jersey City. We look forward to its future as a powerful space to inspire and shape the next generation of globally-minded leaders.
