Kathleen Ferman has lived in New Jersey for the past 23 years. She holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Texas Wesleyan University, an M.A in Drama from the University of Arkansas, and an M.S in Early Childhood Education from Bank Street College of Education in New York City. Prior to becoming a classroom teacher, Kathleen worked for several regional theatres in the capacities of educator, actress, director, and children’s theatre playwright. She admired the spirit of creativity and play that occurs during theatre productions. These joyful, collaborative productions inspired her to enter the world of education. She hopes to instill in her students the same sense of creativity and play when it comes to the life long process of learning. Kathleen’s hobbies include reading, listening to podcasts, and taking long walks with her husband and dog.
