“I always had a great time throughout the school year with the numerous activities and projects we did.”
Q: Tell me about your background, interests, and educational journey thus far.
I am French, Spanish, and Algerian. I am currently a senior at Saint Peter’s Prep. I spent all of middle school and elementary school at the FAA, being there for a total of nine years. I currently play soccer and run track for Saint Peter’s, while also being in the French Club, the Spanish Club, and the Ebony Club.
Q: The FAA is known for its small classes and close teacher-student connections. Can you share a moment that made a real difference for you?
When I was applying to high schools, my teachers were there for me every step of the way. They kept checking in and giving me feedback, which really helped me improve my essay and made the whole process feel less stressful.
Q: What was your favorite thing about the FAA?
I loved how small the classes were. It helped me build really strong friendships, and I’m still friends with everyone from my class.
Q: Looking back on your years at FAA, are there projects, performances, or events that still stand out in your memory?
In 7th grade, we created “Face à Face,” a one-hour musical film that we wrote, acted in, edited, and choreographed over 10 months. It was an incredible interdisciplinary project that combined creativity, teamwork, and dedication. The experience not only allowed us to explore every part of the filmmaking process, from scriptwriting to performance, but also helped us grow closer as a class and strengthened our bond throughout middle school.
Q: If you had to describe FAA in just three words, what would they be and why?
- Passionate: The teachers always gave their maximum effort and were consistently positive toward the students.
- Fun: I always had a great time throughout the school year with the numerous activities and projects we did.
- Diverse: There was always a large amount of diversity throughout the school, with kids from many different countries.
Q: When you imagine where your education will take you in the future, how do you see bilingualism playing a role?
I believe trilingualism will play a crucial role in my future, as it enables me to connect with people worldwide and relocate to another country without language barriers.
Q: What are you planning to study in college
I plan on studying business with a minor in sports management.
