Some of our teachers attended a workshop with Jennifer Serravallo yesterday.
Jennifer Serravallo is a literacy consultant, speaker, and the author of several popular titles including the New York Times bestselling The Reading Strategies Book, and The Writing Strategies Book. Her newest title is Understanding Texts and Readers. Her books and workshops are very important resources and support our teachers in the implementation of Readers and Writers Workshop. Yesterday, for example, our teachers learned practical ways to differentiate instruction through conferences and small groups.
