Today, Kelsey visited our Middle School students and then our 3rd, 4th & 5th graders.
Having overcome a brain tumor at 5 and a stroke at 15, Kelsey has delivered an inspirational and powerful message to our students on how to:
* Learn to accept others’ uniqueness and embrace tolerance
* Learn the importance of kindness and why it matters
* Learn to share struggles and differences rather than hiding them
* Learn to turn uncomfortable situations into life-changing opportunities
Bringing Kelsey to speak represents one of several things FAA is doing to promote values such as kindness, tolerance, inclusiveness, empathy, and to develop character education.
It was, indeed, a profound encounter for the whole community.
