At the FAA, we think that students benefit greatly – both academically and emotionally – from volunteering their time. When students get involved in community service, they not only help others, they learn about themselves.
This week, 7th and 8th grade contributed to the beautification of the historic Jersey City cemetery through gardening activities.
Gardening in an Historic Place.
The Historic Jersey City & Harsimus Cemetery is a state treasure. Prior to the creation of the Cemetery in 1829, its historical significance dates back to the 1700’s. Now, it is the resting place of thousands of soldiers from the Revolutionary & Civil Wars, the War of 1812, the Spanish-American War, WWI and II.
