Chloe has been part of the FAA community since PK3, and her time here has been filled with meaningful experiences and personal growth. From her first days in the classroom to her current role as an 8th grader, Chloe has embraced every opportunity to shine. Whether it’s representing her classmates as an eco-delegate, playing guitar at the Holiday Market, or contributing through community service, she’s brought her energy, creativity, and passion to everything she does.

” For me, it goes beyond protecting the planet, it is also about our human rights and fighting for a better world. I wanted to take action and make the world, or at least the school a better place. I am happy to have the opportunity to do so through being an eco-delegate. “
Q: You’ve been with us since PK3! What’s your favorite memory from your early years at school?
I have so many wonderful memories at the FAA, but one of my favorites was the end-of-year show in 2nd grade. The theme was The Greatest Showman, which is one of my favorite movies. We got to sing, dance, and work hard as a team to bring the show to life. Performing it was definitely the highlight for me, I had so much fun!
Q: How has being bilingual shaped the way you think, learn, or see the world?
I’m not sure I can know exactly how speaking different languages has impacted my life because it’s always been a part of who I am! It definitely helps me connect with more people. Being immersed in multiple cultures and growing up in the U.S. while being raised with French and Egyptian traditions has given me a different perspective of the world. It’s helped me stay open-minded and appreciate diversity. I’ve always loved how the FAA celebrates our different backgrounds and encourages us to learn from one another.
Q: What inspired you to become an eco-delegate?
I grew up in an eco-friendly home! I also learned a lot about environment and sustainability at school. For me, it goes beyond protecting the planet, it is also about our human rights and fighting for a better world. I wanted to take action and make the world, or at least the school a better place. I am happy to have the opportunity to do so through being an eco-delegate.
Q: How do you stay involved in school life beyond the classroom? Are there other activities you love being part of?
I am also a part of the Model UN club, where we practice debating and stimulate UN conferences. At the end of the year we take part in a big conference with Model UN clubs from other schools. I love model UN because it allows me to practice debating with others, to learn about current events and also have fun!
Another thing I do is community service. I help out in school by decorating for parties, helping out during movie nights, volunteering during fundraisers, speaking at open houses and more!
Q: We’ve seen you play guitar at the Holiday Market — what do you love most about performing for your classmates and community?
I was happy to be part of the Holiday Market, especially in Englewood, which was my elementary campus! It was my first time performing solo, I usually play with a band. I was quite impressed but really happy to have this opportunity to perform. I learn a lot every time I perform and this event was a great experience!
Q: As an 8th grader, what are you most excited about for the future?
8th grade can be a bit stressful because I’m still figuring out where I’ll go for high school. But no matter what, I’m excited to keep learning, especially about music and performing. I hope to carry forward everything I’ve gained during my years at the FAA and use it to grow even more in the future.
I’m also looking forward to meeting new people, exploring new opportunities, and challenging myself in different ways. High school feels like a fresh start, and while it’s a little scary, I’m excited to see where it takes me. I hope to continue developing my passions, like music, debating, and community service, and to discover new interests along the way.
